Testimonials
Scott Grove is one of the most creative people I have ever met. The creative process and exercises he teaches have taken my design skills to the next level and as a result my designs are now much more sophisticated. I continue to use the techniques I learned from him in every new piece I design. Scott inspires new ways of thinking, spurs creativity and definitely encourages you to push boundaries!

Students Experience
I’m a 55 year old man who was taught at an early age that I was not creative and should not try to be.
Several years ago I attended a class Scott Grove taught in design for furniture makers and my entire perspective was changed forever. I was taught to “embrace my mistakes for that was where the genius lived.” We explored many different ways to change ones perspective, ways to recapture the honest viewpoint of a child. It was the most liberating and useful 2 weeks of my life. I wished I could have attended a class like this when I was a child. My life would be remarkably different.
I would recommend Scott Grove to anyone seeking creative pursuits of any form, art, design, business or simply, life. He changed my life as I’m sure he will change yours.
Sincerely,
Greg Znajda, PT Injury Prevention Specialist and Furniture Maker
Students Experience
I have been following Scott Grove since the early 1990’s and have been impressed by his body of work that includes considerable artistic vigor. His designs are original, expressive and innovative. In fact his work has impacted an entire generation of designers and craftsmen who have incorporated his techniques into their work. Scott is blessed with technical expertise and has been given the gift of effective communication skills as well. He knows how to guide his understudies through a path of “discovery by directive.” With his leadership and instructional sequencing, his students learn hard skills at a fast pace.
Scott has taken his craft to a level higher than any other person I have met. He has a creative spirit that is charged with enthusiasm, purpose and passion. What separates Scott from all other woodworking artists/craftsman is how he motivates and inspires us all. Through his work, teaching abilities, writing skills, modesty and even the sacrifices he has made, Scott has placed himself on a scale with no equals. Marc Adams, Marc Adams School of Woodworking

“We engaged Scott Grove from New York to run our first ever, week-long session on advanced veneering for the students on our intensive 30 week course at the Chippendale International School of Furniture; we liked the tone of his emails and were bowled over by the photos of his veneers and furniture art. And boy, did he exceed our expectations. His enthusiastic delivery and sense of humor had the students eating out of his hand. He was unfailingly generous in sharing his advanced knowledge of the subject and the new techniques he has developed. We consider ourselves honored to have had him working with us and will certainly be inviting him back.”
